Leaping Unicorn

Hello everyone, Karen here today with my Design Team inspiration card.  I am using the leaping unicorn from the Unicorn set found in the What's New tab.

I love this image and it was really fun coloring the unicorn with pastel shades, a departure from the usual bright colors I most often use.

I hope you enjoy my card, as I really like the way it came out, simple layout and FUN!

I dug up some matching papers from my scrap box, which I just recently finished sorting and organizing.  Paper scraps can really get out of control in no time, so I am really trying hard to use what I have on hand. I know, you know what I am talking about!

I added the sentiment banner, which is part of the set, then finished the card with three die cut clouds and lavender sequins.

Please visit my blog Simply Frenzied for more details about this card.  Also, I invite you to check out the SHOP for more really cute, whimsical and adorable images, as well as the BLOG for more Design Team inspiration.

Thanks for coming by today - Karen

School of Fish

Hi everyone! Wow, can you believe it, July is almost over and folks here have got back to school on their mind. That's kind of a perfect lead in to my card today.

I'm using the Whimsie Doodles image, School of Fish. It can be found under the Valentine images here.

CAS but kinda fun, right? The background was made with distress ink and the fish were colored with Copic markers.  For more information, you can visit my blog here.

Thanks for checking in!

Honey bee

Hello!!!

Patricia here. I have a great card for Valentine's day!! Isn't she cute!!! I hope you feel inspired with this card with a Whimsie Doodles image. Her name is Honey Bee and you can find her in the Valentine section of the shop

For the background I stamped some bees and honey jars. I think they are from Stampin' up. I colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. That cardstock wasn't very good with the markers so I didn't even try to blend colors. But I like the result. I hardly ever use patterned paper in my cards, mostly because I don't have much (and I don't want to buy it) and what I have is not as cute as I would like for my cards, so it was nice to make my own patterned paper. I will do that more.

I hope you like the card!! For details about the colors visit my blog here.

You're Amazing!

Hi Whimsie Doodles Friends,
I hope everyone has had a good week.
It's Andrea here, and today I would like to share a soft pink girly card with you!

For my card I used the sweetest digi ever. This digi is called 'She has Wings' and can be found here.

She has been sitting patiently on my desk for a number of weeks now as I wanted to pair her up with some soft flowery paper and it took me a while to browse through my collection to find the right paper. I got there in the end though and I really enjoyed putting this card together. I hope you like her too.
Feel free to pop over to my blog if you would like more information on all the supplies I used.

I hope you have a great weekend and see you again soon.
Hugs Ax

Scuba Ollie

Hi, everyone!  Just a little reminder, there's still plenty of time to enter our June challenge -

We are looking forward to seeing your creations using anything ocean/beach themed for this one.  You can find the challenge guidelines here and plenty of cute beachy images here.

This is my card featuring Scuba Ollie and Beach Borders -

I created this little scene with cloudy design paper and the digi images.  I colored Ollie and his beach toys with Copic markers and added a bit of texture to his googles with Glossy Accents.

We are looking forward to seeing your creations!

Hugz,
Brenda

Hi Mr Gnome

Hi Friends, it's Andrea here wishing you a very happy Sunday.

Today I would like to share a card I made using one of the sweet, wee gnomes available in the Store. This guy is called Gnome Sayin' and comes with that sentiment too!  He is such a cutie!

I like to have a good mix of general greeting cards in my stash and though this guy would be perfect for a note card.  My aim was to try and keep the colours relatively soft (for a change) but also to have lots of texture. I ended up using two different embossing folders, three types of patterned paper, as well as ribbon, string, enamel dots and chipboard!!  I do love how it came out.

You can find details on all the supplies I used on my blog.

Enjoy the rest of your day,

Hugs Ax
